Fraternity runs deep at Rocky Ridge.
THURSDAY NIGHT MEN’S LEAGUE is the longest running league at Rocky. Formed in 1963, this Member Only League has been around as long as we have. Individual members are always encouraged to register as a substitute.
- Cost:$100 per team to be paid at the beginning of the League
- Schedule: Every Thursday at 4pm. Starting in mid-May, and ending mid-September.
The Logistics:
The league is comprised of 4 flights, A, B, C and D. Depending on how many people sign up, there are anywhere from 10-14 teams per flight. Every Thursday a pair of two-person teams play a 9-hole match. Each match consists of 18 points and each hole is worth two points. The 1st point is awarded to the team with the lowest score on the hole. The 2nd point is for the lowest team total. Points are earned in this fashion for each hole until you’ve played the entire 9-hole match.
Every Thursday, teams record their total accumulated points and at the end of the season the points are added up and the final matches decided. The 1st and 2nd place teams are paired up, then the 3rd and 4th place teams, then the 5th and 6th, and so on. After the final matches, points are added up and winners are announced.
Skins are played every week, and there are “closest to the pin” prizes for front & back nines.
THE CAMARADERIE
Throughout the season, every Thursday evening Chef Ed Lambert creates a custom menu, offering something new each week! The final night of league always culminates with a complimentary dinner.
